Vanguard: Season Four now available!

Vanguard-s04
The wait is over! Vanguard: Season Four is now available on Amazon! And this week only, you can save $3 by picking it up for the special launch price of $0.99! Or read it for free if you’re a member of Kindle Unlimited.

When I first began planning Vanguard, I had a rough idea for the focus of each season, and Season Four takes influence from the classic X-Men story Days of Future Past by taking place entirely in the future! See the outcome of the alien invasion, meet the new members of Vanguard, and thrill as the team tries to send back Chronos in order to save the world!

And once you’ve read it, don’t forget to leave a review telling everyone what you thought.

Atlantis Rising – The Final Myth Hunter Book?

Atlantis-Rising-cover

This is the proposed cover for the sixth and final book in The Myth Hunter series. I’m currently in the middle of writing the book right now, at about 21,000 words at the time of this post. That means I’ll probably finish the book within the next week.

The book is tentatively scheduled for an October or November release. It’s been a lot of fun writing the adventures of Elisa Hill over the past few years. So why end the series? No more ideas? No more interest?

Actually, it’s neither. I still have a lot of fun writing these characters and due to the nature of the series, there’s almost no limit to the number of myths and legends I could easily mine for story ideas. Instead, I’m going to wrap up some of the long-running plot threads with this book and move onto something else.

Why? Because unfortunately, The Myth Hunter, like Infernum, is just not a very big seller. It’s a little tough to define the series in terms of the genres out there right now. That makes it much harder for the series to gain traction. The lack of reviews isn’t helping, either. The first book has only twenty-five reviews and the second through fifth books have less than ten. If a book doesn’t have at least fifty reviews, it might as well be invisible to Amazon’s algorithms. So the lack of reviews is also hurting the series’ potential.

If you’re a fan of the series, then this will be the last book unless that changes. Review every book in the series if you haven’t, encourage other people to read the series and review, and see if we can get that changed. If you want to help the series survive, you can go straight to Amazon right now and review all the books.

Otherwise, this will be the last Myth Hunter book. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the series and this will prove a satisfying conclusion.

The Infernum saga concludes!

05 Shadow Brokers cover_ebook

The story of Dante and his secretive organization, Infernum, comes to a thrilling conclusion in this fifth and final book!

For years, Dante and the mysterious Cabal have been locked in a shadow war. That war has now come to a head. But another player arrives on the board, one who has a personal connection with Dante. And his plot to stop both Infernum and the Cabal will leave no survivors!

Shadow Brokers is the fifth and final book in the Infernum series and is now available on Kindle for 99¢ for a limited time. Also available for free with a Kindle Unlimited subscription, and in paperback from CreateSpace!

Vanguard’s third season comes to a stunning conclusion!

Vanguard 015The third season of Vanguard has had quite a lot of twist and turns so far. Not only this season, but the series as a whole has all been building up to this very episode!

Following the events of the past episode, the team is split apart and hunted! Can they regroup and avoid their pursuers long enough to put a stop to the impending Kotharian invasion?

Questions are answered, but even more are raised and this episode is a massive turning point for the series!

This was a really fun episode for me to write. In fact, I think it may actually be the best episode of the series to date.

It’s 99¢ for right now, but hurry up and buy it, because the price will go up very soon! Also on Kindle Unlimited.

Pick it up and be sure to give it a review.

Set sail with Sinbad!

Air-128The latest volume of Airship 27’s Sinbad: The New Voyages was just released, and this book has a story by me!

A few years ago, Ron Fortier of Airship 27 read my fantasy novel, SoulQuest, and he felt that I’d be a good fit for this anthology. He gave me the series bible and one of the things that stood out to me was the character of Tishimi, a female Japanese warrior.

So I decided to write a tale centering on her and the Blue Nymph’s attempt to discover the lost treasure of Himiko and the nation-state of Yamatai.

It was a fun tale to write and now it’s available for you to check out! The book also includes stories by Ron Fortier, Barbara Doran, and Lee Houston Jr.

Here’s the description:

The Crew of the Blue Nymph. They are the most daring, courageous, fool-hardy seagoing crew ever assembled. Foremost among them are Henri Delacrois, the French archer, Ralf Gunarson, the blonde Viking giant, Tishimi Osara the lovely female samurai, and Omar the irascible first mate. These are the colorful adventurers of the magnificent Blue Nymph. All pledged to follow their captain, the most famous sailor of all time, Sinbad El Ari.

Now they return in four brand new fantasy tales by Barbara Doran, Ron Fortier, Lee Houston Jr. and Percival Constantine. Set against the backdrop of far-off exotic lands filled with magic and mystery here are epic tales worthy of this legendary hero, Sinbad the Sailor!

It’s out now both on Kindle and in paperback. Check it out by clicking the button below.

More information comes to light and pieces are moved into place that will lead to a surprising season finale!

Read this if you want more Myth Hunter

Hammer of the Gods cover_ebookI just wrote “The End” on Hammer of the Gods, the fifth Myth Hunter novella.

It was a lot of fun to write. The words flowed on this book a whole lot more than I expected them to. The Myth Hunter has been a really fun series to write, and I’ve really grown attached to all the characters involved in it.

This book sees Elisa traveling to a South American island called Corbaton. A rumor is that something fell out of the sky, with a witness describing it as a hammer. Freak storms around the island as well lead Elisa to suspect that this object is Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor.

Elisa and her partner, Asami, journey to Corbaton. Also along for the ride is Jason Shroud of the Freemasons. But in pursuit are the Montenegro Sisters, a pair of myth hunters who have some bad blood with Elisa.

I’ve had the idea of this book in my head for a very long time, so it was great to finally get the chance to write it. And the Montenegro Sisters were characters I initially thought up for an aborted Myth Hunter short story, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to finally use them in a story. They’re a lot of fun to write.

Now that Hammer of the Gods is complete, the next project I’m planning to work on is Dante, which will be the fifth and final book in the Infernum series.

As far as The Myth Hunter goes, I think I’ll do at least one book. Honestly, I would like to do a whole lot more. But the series hasn’t proven to be very successful. The most successful book in the series at the time of writing is The Lost Continent, the first book in the series. And the rank of that book on Amazon is below 400,000. Not one of the Myth Hunter books has cracked the top 100 in any category.

That’s pretty disappointing for me. I sell maybe a few copies of the series a month. And as I’m trying to get to a place where I can be a working writer, that means a few copies a month just is not going to cut it.

So if you love Elisa Hill and want to see her adventures continue, then I have a favor to ask of you: show your support. Promote the books on social media. Write reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Share your favorite quotes on twitter. Recommend the books to your family and friends, or gift them copies.

Whatever you can do to help, please try. Because as much as I love Elisa and her supporting cast, I can’t justify continue writing books that don’t sell. I’m already starting to explore options for more commercial endeavors once I’ve finished Infernum. And if the numbers on The Myth Hunter and Vanguard don’t start to rise, I may also have to replace those series with more commercial ones.
