Experience the final Myth Hunter adventure!

06-atlantis-rising_ebook

This is it! The epic conclusion to the adventures of Elisa Hill! And for the last ride of the Myth Hunter, she’s ready to take on her greatest threat yet!

When a terrible omen appears in the Atlantic Ocean, it falls to Elisa to once again find a way to save the world. Can Elisa and her allies stop an ancient evil from rising to destroy humanity?

Old faces return in this final installment in The Myth Hunter series. And it’s out today! Don’t miss your chance to get the title in either print or digital formats.

Why the last adventure? Because sadly, the series just hasn’t gotten the attention it needs in order to justify continuing it. So if you are a fan of Elisa Hill and want to see more than just six books, then I encourage you to review all of them on Amazon, promote them to your friends and your own social media followers, and do what you can to encourage new readers to give them a try.

The publishing landscape is extremely competitive today, and it just isn’t possible for a series to be successful without support from fans. So if you want to see Elisa Hill return, it’s up to you to make that happen by showing your support.

But if that doesn’t happen, I hope you enjoyed The Myth Hunter series.

Atlantis Rising – The Final Myth Hunter Book?

Atlantis-Rising-cover

This is the proposed cover for the sixth and final book in The Myth Hunter series. I’m currently in the middle of writing the book right now, at about 21,000 words at the time of this post. That means I’ll probably finish the book within the next week.

The book is tentatively scheduled for an October or November release. It’s been a lot of fun writing the adventures of Elisa Hill over the past few years. So why end the series? No more ideas? No more interest?

Actually, it’s neither. I still have a lot of fun writing these characters and due to the nature of the series, there’s almost no limit to the number of myths and legends I could easily mine for story ideas. Instead, I’m going to wrap up some of the long-running plot threads with this book and move onto something else.

Why? Because unfortunately, The Myth Hunter, like Infernum, is just not a very big seller. It’s a little tough to define the series in terms of the genres out there right now. That makes it much harder for the series to gain traction. The lack of reviews isn’t helping, either. The first book has only twenty-five reviews and the second through fifth books have less than ten. If a book doesn’t have at least fifty reviews, it might as well be invisible to Amazon’s algorithms. So the lack of reviews is also hurting the series’ potential.

If you’re a fan of the series, then this will be the last book unless that changes. Review every book in the series if you haven’t, encourage other people to read the series and review, and see if we can get that changed. If you want to help the series survive, you can go straight to Amazon right now and review all the books.

Otherwise, this will be the last Myth Hunter book. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the series and this will prove a satisfying conclusion.

Elisa Hill returns in an all-new adventure!

Elisa Hill is back! A mythological artifact has landed near a South American island and her and her allies must locate it. Which artifact? Well, it’s heavy, controls the weather, and is kind of… hammer-shaped…

05 Hammer of the Gods_ebook

That’s right! Mjolnir, the Hammer of Thor, has landed on Earth! And Elisa has to locate it with the help of a local rebellion before a ruthless dictator gets his hands on it. Also along for the ride is her partner, Asami; Jason Shroud, the Freemasons’ own resident myth hunter; and… the roguish Lucas Davalos!

Yup, it’s the first meeting between Shroud and Davalos. And damn, I’ll just say that those were some fun exchanges to write. If you want to know why, you’ll have to get the book!

Fortunately for you, it’s on sale for 99¢, but only until Sunday!

Do not miss Hammer of the Gods, the latest Myth Hunter adventure! It’s out on Kindle, available in paperback, and free with a Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Read this if you want more Myth Hunter

Hammer of the Gods cover_ebookI just wrote “The End” on Hammer of the Gods, the fifth Myth Hunter novella.

It was a lot of fun to write. The words flowed on this book a whole lot more than I expected them to. The Myth Hunter has been a really fun series to write, and I’ve really grown attached to all the characters involved in it.

This book sees Elisa traveling to a South American island called Corbaton. A rumor is that something fell out of the sky, with a witness describing it as a hammer. Freak storms around the island as well lead Elisa to suspect that this object is Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor.

Elisa and her partner, Asami, journey to Corbaton. Also along for the ride is Jason Shroud of the Freemasons. But in pursuit are the Montenegro Sisters, a pair of myth hunters who have some bad blood with Elisa.

I’ve had the idea of this book in my head for a very long time, so it was great to finally get the chance to write it. And the Montenegro Sisters were characters I initially thought up for an aborted Myth Hunter short story, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to finally use them in a story. They’re a lot of fun to write.

Now that Hammer of the Gods is complete, the next project I’m planning to work on is Dante, which will be the fifth and final book in the Infernum series.

As far as The Myth Hunter goes, I think I’ll do at least one book. Honestly, I would like to do a whole lot more. But the series hasn’t proven to be very successful. The most successful book in the series at the time of writing is The Lost Continent, the first book in the series. And the rank of that book on Amazon is below 400,000. Not one of the Myth Hunter books has cracked the top 100 in any category.

That’s pretty disappointing for me. I sell maybe a few copies of the series a month. And as I’m trying to get to a place where I can be a working writer, that means a few copies a month just is not going to cut it.

So if you love Elisa Hill and want to see her adventures continue, then I have a favor to ask of you: show your support. Promote the books on social media. Write reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Share your favorite quotes on twitter. Recommend the books to your family and friends, or gift them copies.

Whatever you can do to help, please try. Because as much as I love Elisa and her supporting cast, I can’t justify continue writing books that don’t sell. I’m already starting to explore options for more commercial endeavors once I’ve finished Infernum. And if the numbers on The Myth Hunter and Vanguard don’t start to rise, I may also have to replace those series with more commercial ones.

Spear of Destiny now available!

04 Spear of Destiny_ebookThe fourth book in The Myth Hunter series is now for sale!

Elisa Hill is back in an all-new adventure!

The Spear of Destiny, believed to have pierced the body of Christ, is said to be an artifact of incredible power that will render the user unstoppable. And now the Thule Society, an occult order from the days of Nazi Germany, is after this weapon. Only Elisa Hill and her allies stand between this Nazi death cult and their genocidal plot! But when faced with ancient, forbidden magicks, does even the famed myth hunter have a prayer of success?

Don’t miss the return of Elisa Hill and her allies, including the fan-favorite Asami and Jason Shroud of the Freemasons! Questions since the first book begin to be answered here and the fate of the world once again falls into the hands of the intrepid adventurer called the Myth Hunter!

Want a Discount eBook? How About a Free One?

Been a long time, unfortunately have been very busy with classes—both teaching and taking them. But what I have to bring you today is two great offers!

First, for the month of July, you can pick up SoulQuest for the sale price of 99¢! It’s available on all platforms, so whether you’re an Kindle, Kobo, iOS, or Nook user, you can get access to it. One of the reasons for this sale is because I’d like to boost up the reviews for the book. So if you buy and enjoy it, then please post up a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Without reviews, it’s very hard for indie books to find an audience.

The next thing to offer is “The Wild Hunt.” If you’ve previously bought a copy of the PulpWork Christmas Special 2013, then you’ve already read this story featuring Asami of The Myth Hunter series. But if you haven’t, now you have the chance to read it for free! How do you get it? All you have to do is subscribe to my mailing list.

Check out the details for both books below:
