This book starts off in a pretty fascinating place. If you remember the end of Lucifer Bound, it seemed Lucifer was ready to jump back into Hell. But when I sat down to plan this book, I realize that that’d be too easy and if all Lucifer wanted was retirement, then he should be happy to be free of the burden of power and responsibility.
And I decided to work that into the first part of this book. I think more than any other, this story really delves into Lucifer’s complicated feelings about his legacy and his responsibility.
